H. P. Lovecraft left us with a legacy of dreadful imaginings.
As a friend of horror, I would like to see what the people of Elftown can make of his work.

This contest is for the narrow definition of art, meaning that no photography or photomanipulation is allowed. Handicrafts are also out.

All work must be yours. Reference, if used, should be linked to. Collaboration with another member of this site is permitted.

Each entrant may post up to three (3) submissions.

Judging shall be carried out by public poll, the winner of which shall receive a badge and, if so desired, a piece of writing based on a prompt of their choosing. There is a participant badge.

The contest will be closed when there are thirteen (13) entries, or, failing that, on May 3rd 2013.

2012-01-20 [Avaz]: Argh, but I stopped drawing by hand nearly a decade ago! I concentrate on mostly photomanips and digital art these days, which leaves me disqualified for this contest. >_>

2012-02-01 [Linderel]: Well, Lovecraft is more than just Cthulhu. I'd like to see some Shoggoths and Shub-Nigguraths, for example. And non-Euclidian geometry.
